Performance of a collection of folk songs, each sung in the language or dialect of the region where it took root and became “traditional.” Yet behind every melody lies more than music: these songs are living testaments to the people who created them, voices of identity expressed through both word and sound. Where Words Become Music is an exploration of identity, memory, and community through the intertwined powers of language and song.
